Susan Bennett
Sue is the owner of Flexible Healing Training.
She qualified in Remedial Massage in 1991 at the Northern Institute of Massage gaining a solid foundation on which to build her bodywork skills. Since 1991, she has continued her education to include a vast range of soft tissue techniques. She has been in practice seen 1991 to date, running full time clinic since 1997. Her practice grew on being able to treat patients that had long term chronic pain patterns helping them to freedom from pain.
She gained her Higher Grade Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 2002. From 2003 to 2005, she was invited by the Northern Institute to tutor on their Advanced Remedial Massage Course.
In 2003, she embarked on training in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to improve her communication both with her patients and students.
In 2005, she became a member of the LCSP board due to her interest in teaching and developing meaningful CPD for qualified practitioners. She ran courses on Positional Release, Muscle Energy Technique and TMJ Dysfunction and also supported practitioners back into training following a period of absence. She resigned from the board in February 2013 to focus on her work with the Hendrickson Method®.
In 2006, alongside Beryl Harper, she commenced training in the Hendrickson Method® with Tom Hendrickson in Berkeley C.A and in 2009 the two of them became the UK’s first qualified Hendrickson Method® therapists. In November of 2013, Sue became the UK’s first certified Hendrickson Method® teacher. She continues to undertake mentoring from Dr. Tom Hendrickson and Giles Gamble in Berkeley, CA.
In 2008, she also successfully embarked on an adult educators training course (PTLLS).
Sue is a member of the LCSP and is also registered with the Health Professional Council as a Physiotherapist.
Ros Tucker
Ros is a qualified Massage Therapist with over 25 years experience. In 2000 she studied Remedial Massage at the Northern Institute of Massage.
She has enjoyed working in clinic with Sue since 2002 and in 2010 she became a fully-fledged Hendrickson Method Practitioner. This gave her the confidence and knowledge to help many different clients and treat many conditions successfully.
Since qualifying she has enjoyed tuition from Tom Hendrickson, Giles Gamble and Frank Haseloff, both in the UK and USA. This has been invaluable in allowing her to both deepen and make her work more specific and more effective.
In 2009 she successfully studied for her PTLLS certificate which taught her the structures and theories behind teaching. She has assisted Sue in her workshops since 2007.
She helps Sue to create the relaxed, open, welcoming atmosphere which encourages questions, student contribution and experience, resulting in a fantastic learning experience for all involved.
